DARKEST HOUR Checks In From Recording Studio

Washington D.C.-based metallers DARKEST HOUR have issued the following update:

"In case you haven't heard, we are in Vancouver right now laying down tracks for the new record. We're really stoked with how things are coming along and we can't wait to get this finished up right so you can hear it. While we're here we're also planning our next moves for when we get back.

"We're going to start with a few shows close to home on the East Coast with our dudes JOB FOR A COWBOY and SITE OF SUFFERING, starting on Tito's favorite day of the year. It's going to be awesome.

"H-burg, even though it's not at Captain T's, you've got to bring T to the show and make him do a stage dive. And we always love playing the Soapbox, so we can make Ryan wash his pants. Columbia, save an armload of airplane bottles for us.

"Everybody, stay tuned for more studio news and a whole lot more tour announcements as things keep shaping up. Get stoked!"

DARKEST HOUR's new album is being produced by Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, LAMB OF GOD, SOILWORK). A June/July release via Victory Records is expected.

Pittsburgh, PA-based label A-F Records in October issued a collection of DARKEST HOUR's early recordings prior to the band's signing with Victory. Entitled "Archives", the set marks DARKEST HOUR's ten-year anniversary and features over an hour of rare and unreleased material, including the band's recordings as early as "The Misanthrope" EP, recorded in 1995 while the members were in high school. It continues the band's output with "The Prophecy Fulfilled" from 1997 and singles from vinyl as late as 1998.
